Our simple machine

.
.

This is one of egg incubators we have at LPfarm. Pretty simple machine, using only 4 bulbs and thick plywood as its compartment. Everyday we have to rotate all the eggs manually. At first, this machine only can accommodate around 60 standard chicken eggs, but we have changed the original tray with new one. As a results, the machine can fit around 100+ eggs at one time now. Hatchability of eggs can exceed 95% at a time (excluding the infertile eggs which thrown away after perform candling). Tomorrow, will be another batch of keets hatch from this simple machine. =)

Thanks Herry for the machine

One of a kind

.
.
Interspecies crosses are rare but can occur. This chicken-pheasant hybrid is from a chicken father and pheasant hen. The behavior and general appearance is more pheasant-like than chicken-like. Body weight and size are much heavier and bigger than its pheasant family.

We have this hybrid from Mr Wong.
Hope one day I can develop more of this hybrid of my own.
